America's Got Talent (AGT) - July 7, 2010 - Vegas Baby Day 2

28 acts will compete for the 10 remaining spots (Group B from Last Night)

Segment #1

Danger Group

Martial Arts Dancers
Sharon: Very very professional
Howie: I don't know if they cater to a wide audience

Juggling/Knife-throwing Trio

Nick (flaming unicycle juggler in Orlando)
Walks on glass with kerosene on it while juggling a cleaver, butcher's knife and flaming sword.

Jeremy (The Extreme Bike Rider)
Goes up about 15-20 feet and then jumps down over a guy.
Built the set for the show tonight
Piers: Someone dedicated enough (he'd quit his job to train) for the top 48.
Howie: I think he's good, I don't know that he's better than some of the others.

Segment #2

Kid Dancers

RNG (Hip-hop dancers)
Piers: Are there enough places to include them.

NW Dance & Acro
Sharon: The problem with this group is the kids, the babies, are better than the older kids.

Vocal Groups

R&B Singers

Broadway Singers

New Directions (Homeless Veterans)
Howie: They are extremely talented and inpirational, but are they ????
Sharon: Yes, they are to me.

KB & Guitarist (Guy friends)

Sisters with Cystic Fibrosa
Sharon: Can I just say, emotionally, you're up for it, but do you girls think you could handle the stress of going on? (Yes)
Piers: Wild horses couldn't stop those two... The biggest thing in their lives...

Segment #4

Novelty Acts

Girl who paints with pain on her body
Juggler
Pop ballons with fire
Card Thrower (balloons above the judges heads, missed the last one)

Ronith: Imitator (not good, but kinda funny)
Does a guy waking up Monday morning, having problems all the way.
Last time Piers didn't like my impressions.
Howie: You've changed.
Piers: I haven't heard you laugh louder than you did in the last three minutes.
Sharon: The two people who liked what he did, and he listened to the one who didn't.
(It WAS pretty good tonight... Better than the bad impressions, far as I'm concerned.)

Segment #5

Bands

KB & Guitar - She sings
Sharon: Cabaretish ...
Howie: We have two other singers...

Harmonix (Haitinas who did Hallelujah)
Do "You Raise Me Up"

(Musicians don't like them in the category "Go for the ones playing the fake instruments or the real ones?")

Sharon: You can't help but smile.
Piers: It's entertaining, and they do it very well.
Howie: It IS entertaining, but is it a headline act.

Segment #6

Male Singers (Most competative category - Only two made it yesterday)

Nate King (very nervous in Orlando)

Guitarist/Singer first

Guitarist/Singer (alternative type voice)

Luigi (Guitarist/Singer)
(Jazzy) Nate says watching him - They all deserve it. They all do.
Sharon: Hist whole performance was just very relaxed. I just wanted him to work harder for me.
(He's worried and crying backstage)

Now it's Nate's turn.
Howie: You happen to be in our most full category, and we don't have room. You may be nervous...
Howie to judges: I think he's less nervous, but does he have more than the others...

Piers: We're going to be sending home some very talented people.

Segment #7

Judge's Decisions

Howie: We're going to end up sending home a superstar.
Piers: This is the best group we've ever had.

Danger: Juggling Trio and ??? Not going.
Martial Arts Dancers and biker - Going.

RNG - You're going to Hollywood.
Other Dancing Group: Not going through.

Luigi - Yes.
All but Nate - Not going.
Nate - Yes.

Rohini - Going.

A couple of other groups Not going.

Girl and guy (KB/Guitar, she sings, yes.
Rockabilly Group - Yes.

A couple of others, no.

Airpocalips - Yes

Veteran singers
Piers: We had to make a decision based on talent.
Sharon: You didn't make the cut.

The sisters: Yes.

1st twelve, live in Hollywood, next show

I know why certain people were voted through... Because they need to have someone for America to vote off, hopefully their more favorite ones to have that last chance. We'll see.

Again, I apologize to the acts and their friends. It's hard to do this "live" and keep all names straight and spelled correctly. ;-)
