Sharon: I can't call it. I can't believe three of them are up there.
America has voted. The act going through to the semifinals is: Fatally Unique
[WOW. I can't believe it. Taylor deserves to go through.]
Spokesperson: We call our fans our heros. We really want to thank our heros.
Piers: I get the tiniest sneakiest feeling you're happy you've gone through. (They celebrated hard, flipping, hugging each other and the other acts...) I don't think any other act has improved, or worked as hard to improve as you. If you keep improving, you've got a chance to win the whole thing.

Commercial / Segment #2

In two weeks the judges will be bringing back acts they thought deserved a second chance. Be sure to let them know who you think should have gone through.

Jason Derulo performs part of "It Girl" and most of another.

Orville Lounge fun

Commercial / Segment #3

Next Group:
Zuma Zuma and Yellow Design Stunt Team
Piers: I really hope they both go through.
America has voted. The act going into the semifinals is: Zuma Zuma
Howie: (You were worried about some of their moves?) And now I'm really worried. I can't imagine what they're going to do next. All I can say is be careful.

Next Group:
Scott Alexander, Team iLuminate, Sam B
America has voted. The act going through to the semifinals is: Team iLuminate
Yep. I knew it. All judges: Standing Ovation.
TI: We are so excited. Thank you America.
Sharon: (Do I need to ask you how you feel?) When they were stood up with the other acts, I don't mean to be disrespectful, it was obvious. You could fill any arena.

Commercial / Segment #4

Maroon Five performs "Moves Like Dagger"

Nick: How do you think they acts backstage are feeling right now?
Adam: I'm sure they're petrified, but they should be.

Commercial / Segment #5

Last Group:
Charles Peachock, The Kinetic King, Melissa Villasenior
The act leaving the competition and going home is: The Kinetic King
How has this experience been for you? It's been amazing. I went a lot further than I ever thought I would.
Charles: My dream has been to get juggling out of the circus tent... Each time I come back, I will bring something more out of the box and won't stop until I win the show.
Melissa: I really love what I do, and the audience is my best friend. I love it, I love it so much.

Commercial / Segment #6

The judges decision between Charles Peachock (Juggeler) and Melissa Villasenior (comedienne/imitator)
Sharon: This is not easy because I see both of you want it so bad, and I can feel it. I agree with you Charles. Juggling should be in theaters and on TV. I appreciate the art-form of it. And Melissa, you've done impersonations I've never seen before. My decision tonight is going to be: Melissa.
Piers: Sharon's right. We don't get many good jugglers and we don't get many good comedians. My personal view is last night, Charles, you were great. Melissa, You were a little patchy. Put last night aside. Who's got the better chance of winning? I think: Charles.
Howie: Charles I think what you do is amazing. Melissa, I think what you did last night was amazing. I think I have to go with originality and what people are talking about. So I go with: Melissa.
Melissa: I'm very excited. I want to keep giving you more and more.

So, tonight:
Zuma Zuma
Melissa Villasenior
Fatally Unique
Team iLuminate

Next week, twelve YouTube Acts take the stage.

Cya, then!

First up:
The Kenetic King
Took 2 days and 2 nights to set up tonight's "act" (36 hour setup time)
It didn't work.
Piers buzzed.
Howie bussed.
"If you gotta blunder you gotta blunder big"
Nick and he go around the stage setting things off.
Piers: On a scale of 1 to 20,000,000, that is hovering around the -100. I have rarely seen an act go so badly wrong.
Thinks he's going to be the biggest loser on America's Got Talent.
Howie: I don't know a lot about what you do... I know you were here for 36 hours... I say next time, don't use the glue.
"I'm absolutely baffled"
Nick: How do you feel right now. KK: Absolutely stunned. I tested it, and I still don't know what went wrong.
[That's too bad. It would have been great. He thinks humidity may have warped the sticks. 36 hours setup time, and it doesn't work. GEEZE! He can still be voted through, but there's a lot of competition left.]

Commercials / Segment #2

Zuma Zuma - African Dance/Acrobat Group
A lot of their act is on two poles tonight.
VERY cool
Audience, Sharon and Howie: Standing Ovation
Sharon: You definitely brought new elements to your act. You delivered everything with great speed and enthusiasm. And I loved the element of danger.
Howie: Dangerous and exciting.
Piers: He's right, unfortunately. That is exactly the type of male pole dancing I like. You're very exuberant and exciting, smiling all the time.
ZZ: We are so happy to be here tonight. This is the best moment of our lives.

Commercials / Segment #3

Avery & the Calico Hearts - Singing group
Stevie Wonder's "I Wish Those Days Would Come Back"
Cool. (Sharon said she thought they'd be the next big thing for girls their age.)
Howie: I don't know where this comes from and it's amazing. You should go further, but if youi don't, you are like a Saturday morning show. You should have your own show on Saturday morning.
Piers: Here's the thing. You wanted to make me smile... You did, and that's something Howie hasn't done for 2 years. To be honest, in terms of singing ability, I think you're a little early. In about 5 year's time, you will be killing it. (YOUR WRONG from the audience.)
Sharon: You really really put everything into the music. Your voices are a bit little right now, a little chipmunky, like you're on helium, but I adore you. I know you'll come back.

Commercials / Segment #4

Charles Peachock - Juggler
Howie: In the last show, he set himself on fire. How's he gonna top that?
Sharon buzzed(!)
Bouncing balls on a Keyboard.
Strips off shirt, does Jailbird Rock on the KB from behind (
Howie buzzed(!)
Piers: I don't know what they were watching. We've had lots of jugglers over the years, but I've never seen anything like that. One of the most talented juggling acts I've seen on the show.
Sharon: I felt it was very slow. I felt you were wasting time, here. I didn't get it. Then when you turned yourself into a Chip-n-Dale's...
Howie: We've seen this before. Here's the biggest problem I have. The first time you did glow-in-the-dark juggling. Then you set yourself on fire. I think you dropped a level.
Piers: I get the feeling the entire audience agrees with me.
[I thought he did a great job, especially standing ON the piano, and playing the KB backward.]

Commercials / Segment #5

Sam B - Frenetic Dancer
Sharon: I'd be interested to see what America thinks of him. That's all I'll say.
Piers buzzed
Nick gets chant going: Sam B
Sharon: Can you do one of those Sam B Cosack moves (to Nick). I'm glad you didn't change your choregraphy. I think you might become a lot of people's guilty pleasures.
Howie: I hope you do. I hope America goes to their phones, and dials your number. Don't change a move. Don't change anything. You are Sam B.
Piers: I think it's time for a reality check. I've now seen your performance a few times. And the reality is it never changes. It involves you charging around like a herd of rhinocerouses, and then falling over. I hope they do hit the phones and call ANY other act.
[I like him. I just think there will be other acts going through.]

Commercials / Segment #6

Taylor Davis - Singer
"Falling Slowly"
Piers buzzed pretty quickly.
Piers: I like you... I just think you sang it in the wrong key. I don't think you were in the right key.
Sharon: Very besutiful song. I don't think a lot of people know it. However, in this competition, you have the biggest range. Next time you come back, you've got to sing something everyone knows, please.
Howie: I like the song. I think a lot of people like it. I think that at this point in the competition, there's gotta be a wow factor. I don't know if you can make it through.
Piers: Let me ask you, how you sang it. (In key, I think I did well.) Sharon: You were.

Melissa Villasenior - Comedian/Imitator
Howie: This is the performance that makes her or breaks her.
She does: Drew Barrymore, Owen Wilson, Sharon Osborne, Brittany Spears, Mariah Carey, Michael Jackson, Judy Garland ("Somewhere Over the Rainbow" for all after Sharon.
Piers: Let me start by saying I think you're a very talented lady, I really think you are. However, I don't think that beat your performance in the audition and in Vegas (she didn't perform in Vegas). Some of it was great, some not so good.
Sharon: Other acts have musical productions, fire, etc. You have nothing but you.
Howie: I'm telling you first-hand, there's nothing harder than comedy. You're very talented, and you deserve to be here.
[Not bad. I've heard worse and better.]

Commercials / Segment #7

Scott Alexander - Magician
Sharon: I don't think I've ever seen a gospel choir disappear before. Very different for a magician to do that.
Howie: I want a magician to do very well. I thought you were lacking a little with your assistants, and showmanship.
Piers: I couldn't disagree more. I thought the trick wasn't fantastic, however, I thought the way you did it was pure showmanship. I enjoyed it.

Commercials / Segment #8

Fatally Unique - Dance Group
Howie: I think the dancers are relaly stepping up. I think you should move on.
Piers: The big question was have you got your act together. have you stepped up. The answer is yes.
Sharon: Strong. The choreography was really really good tonight. Your hard work... your passion, has really paid off.
[Pretty good.]

Commercials / Segment #9

Yellow Designs Stunt Team - Extreme Biking
Four onstage plus dancers
One fell right at the end. Surprised Piers didn't buzz them.
Piers: Are you disappointed you fell? (A little bit.) Normally when people fall or drop things, I buzz em. I didn't. I wanted to see how you would go from a street act to a Vegas act. You did it. You were terrific.
Sharon: If nothing else, it proves that a BMX act can work in Vegas. Very well done.
Howie: This was a temendous show. I don't want to see anyone fall or get hurt, but the fact that you did, brings more thrills to the pagentry and phenomenon.
[Was pretty damn good. Cool.]

Commercials / Segment #10

Frank Miles - Dangerous Juggler
He risks his life to celebrate that he's alive.
He's going to fire off a cross-bow, triggering 5 more. Shoots a jelly donut off his head.
The donut lived, but that was pretty daring.
Shaorn: You should change your name to Danger Man, not Frank. It was very exciting. Is it worth $1M? I think America will tell us.
Howie: Right before you shot, I heard someone from the audience say "Save the donut". You're alive, and it was exciting...
Piers: Very good trick, but it didn't work. Very impressive, but...
[Replay - It grazed the donut!]

Commercials / Segment #11

Last Act
Team iLuminate - Dance group (with lights)
The software engineer wirelessly controls the lights. She was a dancer, but was diagnosed with cancer. Developed the software.
Standing Ovation by all, including Judges.
Howie: What can I say, by far the best thing I've ever seen on this show. I think you'll go all the way. I hope they don't take for granted how great you are.
Piers: Best act tonight. Best act of the live shows. Best act in America.
Sharon: Right now you are a world-class act.
Piers: That is a million dollar act, right there. (Interrupting Sharon... She tells him to shut up.)

Tomorrow night, the results show. Four acts go through tomorrow.

Sharon: Incredible night. Unique talents. I don't know how America's going to vote, but vote, vote, vote.

Jason Derulo and Maroon Five perform on tomorrow's show.

My votes: Zuma Zuma, Taylor Davis, Yellow Designs Stunt Team, Team iLuminate

Cya Tomorrow! ;-)

None made it through.
Piers: I think you girls did the best performance you can do (Purrfect Angelz) and (Ian) I told you last night how I felt about yoyoing, but ... he was really surprised that Summerland Skippers didn't make it, and was sorry they didn't make it through.
[Strange. They're mixing it up again. Now we can't guess which of the group will make it through.]

Commercials / Segment #2

Poplyfe: They were glad that their best friend here, Landau, made it through.
Sharon: I was really really worried seeing these two going head to head. I'm absolutely delighted for both of you. There's a place for each one of you in the music business today. I believe we'll see both of you in the finals.

Last group:
The SH'Boss Boys, Professor Splash, Seth Grabel
America has voted. The act leaving the competition and going home now is: The SH'Boss Boys
Nick builds them up about how big a future they're going to have.

Last two (judges will pick) Seth Grabel and Professor Splash
Prof: Extreme heights, fire, showmanship, etc.
Seth: I was told to go big or go home. I have a lot more to show.

Commercials / Segment #6

Sharon: Professor Splash. I don't know whether we've seen the best of you, but what you do is spectacular. Seth, your act is wonderful. My choice: Seth Grabel.
Howie: This is a tough one again. I go on Twitter. Professor Splash, you risk your life. Seth, you work hard. Professor Splash.
Piers: I'm on Twitter, too. And they're split. I don't know whether to see you risk your life on TV, or see a slick operator. I'm making my decision for the right reason, because I think they have the best chance for winning: Professor Splash.

The four going through tonight:
Poplyfe, Landau Eugene Murphy, Jr, Lys Agnes, Professor Splash

Opening Segment
Montage of winners and tonight's acts
Howie: Tonight is one of the most dangerous shows we've had. Please do not try this at home.
Nick explains about $1,000,000, etc., and introduces the judges.
Sharon: I think the line-up tonight is quite exciting because it's dangerous and edgy.

The acts tonight:
Summerland Skippers
SH'Boss Boys
Mauricio Herrerea
Seth Grabel
Poplyfe
Ian Johnson
Landau Eugene Murphy, Jr
Purrfect Angelz
Monet
Captain & Maybelle
Lys Agnes
Professor Splash

First up:
Summerland Skippers - Jump Rope Team
Howie: These guys have to step it up. They're really good. But really good isn't enough.
I think they just showed how jumping rope can be a full stage act in Vegas.
Piers: In the Vegas stage, you made too many mistakes for me. Then I watched your performance tonight, and unlike so many acts last week who were disappointing, I liked it. Suddenly you made skipping sexy.
Sharon: I have to say the difference between Vegas and tonight is great.
Howie: I was just fascinated that Piers Morgan sees a bunch of young people skipping and he thinks it's sexy. I don't don't know if I could take another song, but America has to decide.
[They'd obviously need breaks, but I think they could do a full Vegas show.]

Commercials / Segment #2

SH'Boss Boys - Kid rappers (5-7yo trio)
Cute
Sharon: You're thoroughly entertaining. You've got the cute factor going. [TOLD YA! LOL] You did just fantastic.
Howie: You guys are adorable. I think America is going to love you. I don't know if you were always on key or on time, but the adorability trumps that.
Piers: Here's the thing. When you do the rap stuff, that is brilliant. Stick to the rapping.

Commercials / Segment #3

Mauricio Herrerea - Entertainer
Sharon: I just hope that America gets the fun factor.
Piers buzzed
Viva Las Vegas and Delilah (Elvis and Tom Jones)
Sharon buzzed on second song
Howie: Is it just me or does it seem like you were wathcing Tel Amundo in English. I connect with you. It's schmaltzie it's funny.
Piers: You're a very nice guy. But if I went to a bar and an act like you came on, I would go back to my room, pack up my bags, and go home.
Sharon: It was the galloping. I loved the end move. However, you are a lot of fun to watch. I think America will make it's mind up whether they want to see you again.
[He's not bad. I like him, but we'll see with the other acts.]

Commercials / Segment #4

Call for next season's acts.

Seth Grabel - Illusionist
Piers: (problem in Vegas) - He's really got to step it up.
Death-defying act tonight - Not bad
Howie: That was spectacular, that looked amazing to me. I cannot see for the life of me how that was done.
Sharon: Very dramatic. Production value was wonderful. Very dramatic.
Piers: Bigger, better, faster, slicker. All-round better performance.
Seth: We had some issues in rehersal, but this was perfect.

Commercials / Segment #5

Acts coming up next week (the last of the 48)

Poplyfe - Band
She lost her voice, and couldn't practice much.
"Rolling in the Deep"
Standing Ovation by Sharon & Howie
Sharon: You gave it your all. You're young. You have everything going for you guys.
Howie: I ditto everything she said. Here's the thing. When you do good, America says they'll do good.
Piers: I remember in Vegas I didn't see the point of the band. Tonight, I saw the point of the band. You guys were brilliant tonight. The whole thing was great.

Commercials / Segment #6

Ian Johnson - Yoyoist
Piers buzzed
Howie: You had a couple of flubs there. Your dreams will probably come true. The question is is it a headline act. That's the question America is going to have to answer.
Piers: You made yoyoing as exciting as possible tonight, right? The problem is it's still bloody boring.
Sharon: I think you need to add more of you. More personality from you.
[Nice, but like Howie said - A headline act?]

Landau Eugene Murphy, Jr - Singer
Good job!
Standing Ovation by audience
Piers: I want you to tell me - we know your story - tell me how you're feeling right now. (Very overwhelmed.) Here's the thing. You are very clearly a big game player. You came to play, Landeau.
Sharon: America does have talent, and it's right in front of me. I can't tell you how proud I am of you. A few month ago, you were washing cars.
Howie: I told you a couple of months ago your life would change, and you haven't swerved. You've got what it takes.
[His family is here. None of them have ever seen him do this live ... until tonight.]

Commercials / Segment #7

Purrfect Angelz - Dance group
All former professional cheerleaders
Sharon: They definitely belong in Vegas, but where - Headline act, or opening act
"Save a Horse Ride a Cowboy"
Piers buzzed near end
I thought they were pretty damn good.
Howie: You kinda get feelings when you see certain acts. I wanna order chicken wings because this is the best Hooters I've seen
Piers: I thought you were better than in Vegas. Tonight's been an exceptional night, but I don't think you'll go through. I've got a feeling about tongiht.
Sharon: Great performance. Loved the choreography. You are all amazingly fit young ladies, but is it worth $1,000,000? America will decide.

Commercials / Segment #8

Monet - Singer
Was made homeless by Katrina. Now from Charlotte, NC.
Howie: You're a beautiful young lady... knowing your story, knowing your age, kinda makes up for your not hitting all the notes. I want you to just cherish this moment.
Piers: Last year we had Jackie, and she was pitch-perfect. The reason I didn't buzz you is you weren't perfect, but I see a star... In a couple of years...
Sharon: I don't like comparing people to others. I think you did extremely well. What you lacked with your tuning, you made up for with your passion and being you.

Commercials / Segment #9

Captain & Maybelle - Sideshow Act (Sword Swallower and more)
Nick: They are trained professionals, so don't try this at home.
Picks up cast iron skillet and swings it with his tongue ring. She does it with her nose ring.
Hooks in his eyelids, he pick up an iron and swings it around.
Howie is hiding being desk. Piers is hiding behind his hands.
Piers: I'm going to say the words to you that I'm sure will bring you the most joy. Disgusting.
Sharon: After you hung the frying pan from your nose, I turned away. I can't judge the whole thing.
Howie: People have a hook but when we say that, we don't mean your tongue, eyelids or nose.
Piers: Do you like making people sick? (I actually like people to think outside the box. Unfortunately, our show is a very long show, and when we come here, we have to convey it with facial expressions, etc.

Commercials / Segment #10

Lys Agnes - Opera Singer
Discovered in the basement singing by her Mom. Lost her fiance before audition.
Lys - There's been so much sorrow... It's time for some joy.
Standing ovation - audience, Sharon and Howie
Piers: I think you're very talented, amazing voice... You didn't knock me out this performance.
Sharon: It moved me. I thought you told the story... You really felt the roll.
Howie: Again, another performer out of the box. Gorgeous, sexy. You're stunning. I think you make opera open to the masses because of your style.

Commercials / Segment #11

Professor Splash - High Diver
Everyone is outside, so he can attempt a record height (over 36' high) dive into 12" of water.
Most dangerous act they've ever had. Will be falling almost 40MPH. When he hits the water it will be like a Formula One crash.
He does it.
Howie: I don't know what to say... The fact that your standing here and I'm talking to you. You're a professional at falling...
Piers: That is without any doubt, the most dangerous, stupid, thrilling thing I've ever seen. Absolutely sensational.
Howie: Are you in any pain? (No.)
Sharon: I'm absolutely speechless. You mentioned fire before...
PS: Next act: Through fire into fire.
He set a new world record tonight.
Wow.

My choices tonight: Seth Grabel, Poplyfe, Landau Eugene Murphy, Jr, Purrfect Angelz, Lys Agnes, Professor Splash.

What? Only four?

Damn! Ok. Seth Grabel, Poplyfe, Landau Eugene Murphy, Jr, Lys Agnes. (It would be nice if they put more than four through this week, or picked a couple back up after next week's shows!)

Results of tonight's show tomorrow.
Stevie Nicks and Fighting Gravity will be in the house.
Cya then! ;-)

Live from Hollywood
Four of the 12 acts that performed last night will go on to the next level - Three voted on by America. The last 2 based on America's vote are voted on by the judges on who goes through.

Here are the acts:
Attack Dance Crew
Dani Shay
Geechy Guy
Daniel Joseph Baker
Rhinestone Ropers
Dylan Andrea
Smage Brothers Riding Show
Thomas John
Steve Retchless
Mona Lisa
Silhouettes

Opening Segment
Montage of last night's acts
Intro of the Judges.
Piers (about "X"ing) - He said he realized he had got it wrong. He should have buzzed two more. He said the pressure got to a lot of them. Too many let themselves down last night.

First Results
Rhinsestone Ropers, Thomas John, Silhouettes
Sharon: I have to be brutally honest - The Rhinestone Ropers let themselves down last night... And Thomas John, I don't know what you were on... it's obvious to me...
The act going on to the semi-finals and moving one step closer to the million dollars is: The Silhouettes.
Piers: Very happy. I echo what Sharon said. I think it was a bad night for those two acts who were better than their performances. Like all of America, I can't wait to see what you do in the finals.

Commercials / Segment #2

The Orville Lounge - What's popping

Hot Chelle Rae performs "Tonight Tonight"

Commercials / Segment #3

Next Group
Steven Retchless, Attack Dance Crew, Geechy Guy
Howie: I don't think it's obvious. ADC - I don't think you're up to par with this competition. Steven Retchless - I think what you do is amazing, strength, agility, etc. I don't think America's up to a guy pole dancer. Geecy Guy, you're funny. I don't know...
The act going through is: Steven Retchless
Howie: Well, you know that I'm a fan. But America voted you in, and America got it right. (Piers: I don't think they did get it right.) You can see you may be a little outrageous for Middle America, so you may want to take that into consideration.
Sharon: JUST BE YOURSELF!

Next Group
Daniel Joseph Baker, Dani Shay, Dylan Andre
Piers: These are some of your favorite acts. I'm surprised. Usually America leans toward singers. Now, it seems the variety acts are getting through. If it's based on last night, Daniel. If it's based on the auditions, Vegas, and last night, I can't call it.
The act going through is: Daniel Joseph Baker
Thank you America for letting me be myself.
Sharon: I am very very happy for Daniel and the show, because last night, of the three acts, you were the best.

Commercials / Segment #4

The last three acts, backstage, talk about how nervous they are.
Acrobatic act, Traces, performs.
Funny, Piers was talking about not being many male pole dancers, and there were several things by males on and off the poles. LOL

Commercials / Segment #5

One spot left
Smage Brothers Riding Show, Mona Lisa, Landon Swank
Only two acts will face the judges.
The act LEAVING the competition and going home is: Mona Lisa.
So, Smage Brothers and Landon Swank
Smage: We've been pushing every day to get here. (They talk to the guy who puts his life on the line. He says) I don't know. They get pretty close to me. I don't know if I want us to move on. (Laughing)
Landon: I think I deserve to move on because of the sacrifices I've made. I have so many things I want to show America. If you give me the chance.

Judges begin conferring.

Commercials / Segment #6

Sharon: Smage Bros - I thought your performance last night was sensational. Exhilerating. Landon - I've been a fan. The crew and staff would be very sad if I didn't vote you in because they've all fallen in love with Harmony (his aide). Smage Brothers.
Piers: Very difficult. Smage brothers were very good. I watched it again last night, and Landon, you did a great job. I'm going to save your life, Troy. Landon.
Howie: Here's the conundrum. Amazingly exciting act. I have to agree with Sharon last night. Still, you've shown me the best illusion I've ever seen. Can I pick two? (No) Well, OK... the most exciting thing I saw yesterday... The Smage Brothers.

Rhinestone Ropers
Dylan Andrea
Smage Brothers Riding Show
Thomas John
Steve Retchless
Mona Lisa
Silhouettes

First up
Attack Dance Crew
Piers: I backed you from the start, against my none-drilling friends. Some of it looked a mess - needs to be tighter. I can see you're working hard on this. I wouldn't worry too much about the big jumps. Tighter, more choreography, that's what I want to see.
Sharon: I have to say the choreography wasn't spectacular. I need it be spectacular for you to stand out from all other dance groups on TV.
Howie: I was going to say everything Piers said... I don't really get it. It seems like a really good cheerleading team. I don't think it works as dance as well.
(They're ok, but I'll bet there are some better tonight I'd like to put through.)

Commercials / Segment #2

AGT is going to be on a Nationwide search for next year. Sign up now.

Dani Shay - Female Singer (Bieber look-alike)
"Babylon"
Sharon: She did amazing. You know I'm a huge fan anywey. I love your purity. You sing with great passion. You sing with your heart. I love that about you.
Howie: I think you're a great star. I think you're a person who wants to say something. I don't know that the younger people will connect with the song choice.
Piers: On the plus side, I think it's a good performance. On the negative side, I thought there were some notes that were off-key. If you want to win the show, you have to connect to the audience. It wasn't great. It wasn't bad, just wasn't great. (He mentioned choices, too.)

Commercials / Segment #3

Geechy Guy - Comedian
Piers buzzed.
Howie: I loved that you saved the poop for the close. I always say the same thing, comedy is subjective. You're a very good comic and you deserve to make a living.
Piers: Listening to you routine is like being smashed over the head by a giant hammer every five seconds. One of the singularly unfunny things I've ever had to watch.
Sharon: I like your suit. You clean up very well. The jokes... You're silly, they're silly, I like your silliness.
Geechy - Since I don't know what Piers does for a living, I'm going to have to take the word of the professional comedian. (GET HIM, Geechy!)

Commercials / Segment #4

Daniel Joseph Baker - Singer/performer
Sharon: He's so exuberant. I hope that doesn't turn people off.
"The Edge of Lonely"
Piers: You've only performed at home. Have you ever performed for any big audience like this? How does it make you feel? The reason I ask, when you come out, you have that fire in your belly... The singing wasn't quite there, you missed a few notes, but I liked it.
Sharon: I just adore you. You are a very special person because you are a star. It's very very hard to find someone who has it all going on like you.
Howie: You're like the next Lady Guy-Guy. You are a star. When you get behind the piano, it's like something comes out of you, and that's where you need to be.
Nick: Where does the energy come from? (From my parents)

Commercials / Segment #5

The Rhinestone Ropers - Cowboy show act
Piers buzzed
(Lost Americana. The Cowboy Show)
Sharon: Lucky Joe (the horse) is quite magnificent. When I was watching you, it reminded me of Parenthood when Steve Martin was entertaining the kids.
Howie: Here's the thing. You came to us last time, with guns and knives, and then ... It wasn't exciting. I think you didn't step it up from this audition.
Piers: That was a complete train wreck of an act. You twirled a rope around your head. Tonight, you just completely blew it. That was not a $1,000,000 act. That was worth about $5.
(I haven't seen an act like that for years. I know what he was trying to do, but in studio, they had to scale it back a bit, since they were using a live animal. Piers is in a pissy mood tonight. He asked if they'd accept that they'd blown it. I don't think so. I'd like to see them again, and may have to vote for them, just to piss Piers off.)

Commercials / Segment #6

Dylan Andre - Singer/Musician
(He's only been singing a year. He wants to do it for his mother who was given a chance at a contract when she was young, but her father - his father - wouldn't let her sign.)
"Mothers Be Good To Your Daughters, Too"
Howie: He did good. He can sing. I think you were a little flat at one point. I think I can tell you've only done it for a year. I think you're good. You shouldn't quit. But I don't know if it's a million $ performance.
Piers: I think it's perfectly pleasant, I'd like to see you in a bar, but I don't think it's (the right caliber) for AGT.
Sharon: I love the song. I don't think you're confident in yourself, yet. I think it was perfectly pleasant.
(He said he's taking all the judges say as constructive criticism, since he's never had it before.
I don't know about the song choice, here. I like him, but...)

Landon Swank - Magician
He came through a mirror.
Piers: Can we see the other side? (where Nick signed his last name). It's still there, as is Nick's signature on the front. I liked you in the first rounds, because I can't figure out how you do it. I liked it.
Sharon: I didn't quite understand what was going on. I was a little confused. It was very interesting, because I'm still confused.
Howie: Your magic is great. I don't know if the presentation was as good as before.

Commercials / Segment #7

Smage Brothers Riding Show - Motorcycles
Howie and Sharon (and audience) Standing Ovation
Sharon: Wow! Exciting. So dangerour.
Piers: Are you ok? Did he just drive on your head.
Sharon: Amazing.
Howie: Amazing. It really is! I just hopes it translates on TV. It's a great act. It really is.
Piers: It's been a pretty mediocre night, so far, and we've been waiting for something to wake us up. And you did it. We already heard excuses from the guy with the horse. And you did this all in the same confined space. Great!

Commercials / Segment #8

Thomas John - Juggler (was going to be a literary professor)
Piers: What I like about him is he's funny, and zany.
Piers buzzed - He dropped a pin
Sharon buzzed at the end
Howie: At the end, did you mean to throw them away that fast or did they fall. You had a little trouble, but you're funny and entertaining.
Piers: Terrible. It was terrible, and when you dropped them three times (twice)...
Sharon: The problem is I really like you, but tonight it was a little slow between parts.
(I think my timing was off a little tonight, but I think that's ok.)

Commercials / Segment #9

Steven Retchless - Male Pole Dancer (Strength and Grace)
It takes a lot of effort to make it look effortless.
Does some dancing on the floor, too.
Piers buzzed
Sharon - Standing ovation.
Piers: I have tried... (Audience and Sharon boo) ... If I may speak. I ahve tried to appreciate this act. There's a reason there are no pole dancers in America. There's a reason. Howie sprays water at him.
Sharon: That was spectacular. I bow down to you. Spectacular.
Howie: I don't know how to describe it. You're a cross between Lady Gaga and a firefighter. Last year we had Prince Poppycock... Now we have Prince Poleycock.
(Nice act, I thought)

Commercials / Segment #10

Mona Lisa - Twins - Singers
"Broken Road"
Sharon: I think they did really really well. Great harmonies. You're young, good looking, great singers. And you need the right song. You've got everything going for you.
Howie: I have nothing critical to say. You have to do things to stand out. That's the greatness of this show, and that's the toughness of this show.
Piers: A little lacking in the Wow factor. I'm always looking at this stage for something to make me go WHOA! It was nice, but...
(I think they have a chance. There's seldom a WOW factor with singers on this show.)

Commercials / Segment #11

Last act.
Silhouettes - Dance group - Youngest is 3yo.
Parents & Grandparent who served in the military in the audience tonight.
"American Pride"
WOW! Standing Ovation from EVERYONE, including the judges.
Piers: We've had quite a long night tonight and not much has been good. Then at the very end... That was just complete genius. I loved it. A world class act. I loved it.
Sharon: I just don't understand why all those little girls are crying (I'm happy). Just brilliant, and I applaud you.
Howie: Original, unique, there's no other words to describe you. You are worthy of your own show.
(It's amazing. We're so honored to be here.)

You've seen tonight's quarter-finalists. Only four will go through to the next round.

Howie: Tonight is off the hook. Look at that stage. There are at least 4 standout acts that you can't see anywhere else. (He named off four. I won't here.)

My choices: Daniel Joseph Baker, Rhinestone Ropers, Smage Brothers Riding Show, Silhouettes, though Steven Retchless and Geechy Guy were good, too. Maybe I'm not as picky as Piers. Let America decide.

See you tomorrow for the Results show! ;-)

Fearless Flores Family, DuoAero, and Snap Boogie
Quick takes of their acts last night, some judges' comments, and how the acts felt.
Only one act will make it through.
Piers: I'm really surprised to see two of the acts on the stage at the same time. I buzzed DuoAero, and think you should go home. Fearless Flores Family - You stepped it up big time. I loved it. Snap Boogie - I loved it. If it were up to me, it would be between you two. I can't call it.
The act going throught - Snap Boogie. [REALLY? I thought the Floreses would go through.
Sharon: I am absoultely overjoyed. My heart's going like this. I am so happy for you. You really really deserve to be here.

Commercials / Segment #3

Two more acts are going through

Set one - Squonk Opera, Sandeau Trio Russian Bar, and J Chris Newberg
Quick takes of their acts last night, some judges' comments, and how the acts felt.
Howie: What are my thoughts. JCN - I do think you are funny. A lot of people tweeting me thought so too. I think you have an act, whether you win or not. I believe STRB - I think America's going to go with you.
The act going through - Sandeau Trio Russian Bar
Nick: Sorry I missed your act. My eyes were closed quite a bit of the time. Can you step it up?
STRB: I have a lot in my back pocket.
Piers: It's dramatic, it's exciting, it's Vegas. I'm thilled to work out what you will do next.

Set two - Desmond Meeks, Echo of Animal Garden, Anna Graceman
Quick takes of their acts last night, some judges' comments, and how the acts felt.
Sharon (these are some of your favorite acts). Confused. Dezmond and Anna are great. Echo different but great. I am worried about
America has voted. The act going into the semi-final, one step closer to the $1,000,000 and a chance to headline a show in Las Vegas is - Anna Graceman!
Anna: Thank you so much. I love you all and feel so special.
Howie: The first time you came to us, I said the world is going to start talking about you. People come up to me and ask me - about YOU more than anyone else. You have arrived. You are a star.

Three acts left, one spot.

Commercials / Segment #4

Cast of Priscilla, Queen of the Desert perform with Will Swenson

Commercials / Segment #5

The final three acts - The judges decide from this group
Miami All Stars, Those Funny Little People, and The Fiddleheads
(Oh, man... I liked them all... Oh, well.)
Quick takes of their acts last night, some judges' comments, and how the acts felt.
We need just two acts to face the judges. So one of you is leaving now.
America has voted: The act leaving the competition and going home is: Those Funny Little People
(Piers raises both fist in the air in victory. Nick: That wasn't nice at all.)
Miami All Stars and The Fiddleheads
Miami All Stars - Something you didn't know about our group. My wife and I have trained these kids for years in (several dance styles). You will never ever be bored.
Fiddleheads - I think this whole week, we listened to the producers rather than just being ourselfs. If we make it through, we'll be ourselves.
Judges start talking to each other...

Commercials / Segment #6

Sharon, We'll start with you, who do you want to make it thought.
Miami All Stars - Your synchronicity...
Fiddleheads - Adam (singer) You have a very very good voice. I love the combination with the bluegrass. But to be honest, I didn't like your song choice last night. For me, it's all about the Miami All Stars.
Piers: Fiddleheads - You guys are a good act, but our vote is based on last night's performance, and for me, it's got to be Miami All Stars.

So, the first four groups making it through to the semi-finals:
Snap Boogie
Sandeau Trio Russian Bar
Anna Graceman
Miami All Stars

Tough acts to follow.

Cya next week when the next group of 12 perform. ;-)

Montage of the acts tonight

The Acts
Miami All Stars
Dezmond Meeks
Those Funny Little People
The Fearless Flores Family
Squonk Opera
J Chris Newberg
Snap Boogie
Echo of Animal Gardens
The Fiddleheads
DuoAero
Anna Graceman
Sandou Trio Russian Bar

Introduction by Nick.
Winner gets $1,000,000 and the chance to headline a show in Las Vegas.
Judges are introduced - Piers Morgan, Sharon Osborne, and Howie Mandal.

12 acts fighting for 4 spots in semi-finals.

Piers: I've seen the lineup for tonight. This is one of the most dangerous we've had.
If any act gets three Xes, the performance is over, but we can still vote for them.

Miami All Stars - Dance Group
They only got two hours of rehersal
Good job. I didn't see any flubs.
Piers: I thought that was fabulous - sexy, fun, exactly as I dance. You'll have to keep doing that kind of performance.
Sharon: Just spectacular. Great precision. I told you this before - The men dance like real men.
Howie: Mucho Caliente. Very hot. I can only imagine what it would become if you had time. You're fabulous.

Commercials / Segment #2

Dezmond Meeks - Pianist/Singer
Always grew up as an outcast because of the way he dressed.
"Satisfaction" (Stones)
Stands playing piano and singing, then dances across stage, singing surrounded by girl dancers.
Good job.
Sharon: I would never have known you were shaking. You have amazing stage presence and confidence. However, it's a fine line between being too caberet and too cheesy. Less is more.
Howie: I agree with everything Sharon said, but I think you crossed the line. It was a little cheesy for me.
Piers: What a load of old tosh. The whole point of you is you are a caberet act. Brilliant voice, piano. It's not cheesy, it's entertainment, and you are talented.

Commercials / Segment #3

Those Funny Little People - Elf costume/Performance Group mostly dancers
Piers: I don't like them, they're not funny, and there's nothing they can do to change my mind.
"Singing in the Rain"
Piers buzzed
"It's Raining Men" (Girl elf)
Cute.
Howie - standing ovation, as do most of the audience.
Howie: The reason I enjoyed it, the thing is you're aware that you annoy Piers.
Piers: I uh... I don't really understand why they're called "Funny Little People". They're not funny, they're not little, and they're not people. They're very annoying.
Sharon: Piers knows annoying because he is. The fact you annoy him, makes me love you more.

Commercials / Segment #4

The Fearless Flores Family - Motorcycles - Parents and kids
Mom will join the kids in the sphere tonight. Dad goes in and
First kids are in alone, holding a sheet.
Then Dad and Mom go it. Dad standing in the middle, Mom on another cycle.
Piers: Incredible. We are 10 yards closer than in the audition. You always step it up. I'd like to see you step it up one more time. I'd like to see Howie standing in the middle. (Boy is 6yo).
Sharon: Very dangerous, but where do you go from here. (All kinds of ideas.) Ok.
Howie: Very dangerous. Amazing. Spectacular.
Dad: I love what they're saying. I want them to tell us what they want to see us do, so we can make this the best act ever.

Commercials / Segment #5

Squonk Opera (Music/Art/Opera)
Hard to describe.
Piers and Sharon buzzed.
Sharon: I appreciate the excentricity you bring. But that song with the fusion, I know you wrote it, but I think it's the wrong thing, because it wasn't very good. But I do like you because you're all nuts.
Howie: In the beginning, I liked it, and just before I was going to buzz, you sir came out with that chair...
Piers: As usual, it's up to me to be the reality check. This is what hell is like. It would have you killing the piano, you singing up there, and then you... It was bonkers.
They tell Piers to loosen up a bit, smiling.

Commercials / Segment #6

J Chris Newberg - Comedian/comic songs
Plays guitar and makes jokes...
Piers buzzed.
Chris has a choir of kids, all with beards like his
Song: That's Probably A Bad Idea
Howie: I'm a comedian, I know that comedy is objective. I would buy a ticket. The fact that he buzzed you, don't worry. He didn't get it.
Piers: Startlingly inappropriate. You bring out a bunch of cute kids to mask the fact that you aren't funny... This whole act is a "bad idea".
Chris: That really hurts me inside... Then I figure out I'm kidding.
Sharon: That song is just so so wrong. However, I liked it. You're very dark and naughty, but I like you.
(How'd it go?) I thought it went very well, including annoying Piers.

Snap Boogie - Street "pop" Dancer
Hurt his thigh (felt a pop) during rehersal
Great job!
Piers: The reason I get quite annoyed by Sharon and Howie. We are trying to find the next great American act. Often solo dancers get a bad rap. That performance could be in Vegas tomorrow.
Sharon: I think that what you do goes over and above Vegas. You're a fantastic young man, I admire you very much.
Howie: I ditto everything my partners have said. It is so slick, it is so professional. You're edgy, sleek, you're a star.

Commercials / Segment #7

Echo of Animal Gardens - Parrot
Echo didn't perform well in Vegas. He was put through based on his audition.
They've brought Binky, his girlfriend, so there's not another Vegas.
Binky sits on a stand and keeps getting fed.
Sharon: This show is absolutely fabulous. Where else would you see a parrot singing "Over the Rainbox".
Howie: Here's my question: You did well in auditions, and then in Vegas, you had a problem. Are you a million dollar act, or a very good birthday party?
Piers: This kind of proves my point. Echo is funnier than most of the human comedians we've had on tonight.

Commercials / Segment #8

The Fiddleheads - Bluegrass Band
Howie: The singer stands out. The rest of the group will have to up their game.
MJ's "Billie Jean" with background music in Bluegrass style.
Interesting version. Pretty good, I thought.
Howie: I'll be honest. I think you made a mistake. When you pick a song that's so synonimous with performance and dance...
Piers: I think he's partly there. I thought it was a good interpretation. Here's the problem. That's a big song. You have to hit the big notes, and you didn't. That was my problem. I didn't object to the song choice, I objected to the way you sang it.
Sharon: I don't like the way you're dressed. Don't try to be something you're not. Go back to the way you were, because I loved you.

Commercials / Segment #9

DuoAero - Aerialists
About 20 feet above the stage. Several releases, drops and catches.
Piers buzzed.
Piers: I just got a little bored with it. You're very good at what you do, but you didn't step up from the audition.
Sharon: When I first saw you, you were an aerial act that was modern, sexy, fresh... And you turned yourself into an old time aerial act..
Howie: I agree with both of the others. I didn't see anything amazing.
(If we get through to the next round, we'll show you more exciting stuff.)

Commercials / Segment #10

Anna Graceman - Pianist/Singer/Songwriter and not 11yo, yet.
From Juneau, Alaska. She made a mistake on the piano in Vegas. She can't make any more mistakes at this level.
"What A Wonderful World"
WOW. I could never play like that!
Howie, standing O.
Sharon: How old are you again? Just 11? I can't believe it. You're a little tiny peanut with this beautiful voice.
Howie: I thought the song was a great choice. It's a wonderful world to hear and listen to you. You are a phenomenom. And now the acronym AGT stands for Anna's Got Talent.
Piers: 4'-4" girl singing Louis Armstrong, and singing it beautifully. Thats' what AGT is all about.

Commercials / Segment #11

Sandou Trio Russian Bar - Russian Bar
One of the most dangerous acts we've ever had.
Sharon: She's being thrown 30' into the air with no safety net.
Bar is 4" wide. Husband, wife and friend.
They are doing this over a bed of nails, tonight.
Then she sets the nails on fire.
WOW!
Standing Ovation by the judges.
Howie: The fact that you're alive and not punctured is amazing. You could die doing that. No other act
Piers: We were talking tonight how you could top what you did. Most exciting thing we've seen in a long time.
Sharon: Beautiful to look at. I've never seen anything like it before.

Four go to the semi-finals, eight go home, and a couple of national acts perform tomorrow.

My picks:
Dezmond Meeks. The Fearless Flores Family, Anna Graceman, Sandou Trio Russian Bar
My wife is getting ready to go down to Evansville, meet the new grandson, and spend some time with the "old" (almost 5yo) granddaughter, so wasn't paying near enough attention to everyone to vote.
She saw a fews, and likes: The Fiddleheads and Anna Graceman.

Cya then!

Sharon: Welcome to Vegas Week. Our job is to find the best of the best.
Howie: Not everyone will be able to perform, but those that do, this needs to be the best performance of your live.
Piers said that Howie's right. Not all of you will go through. (Piers names some and has them stand up.) After watching the tapes again, we three judges have reached a decision about you. And the decision is:

Commercials / Segment #2

Piers: Our decision, is that you're all going home right now.
